Crochet the hamster with two yarn colors. For your convenience, I highlight theyarn color change as dark and light (dark/light) in the pattern below.
There is a light shift as you change yarn colors, but it will not be visible aftermaking the whole toy.
I change yarn colors as follows below:
Start crocheting single crochet and complete with a new yarn color. Pull the newyarn color through 2 loops.
In this way, the stitch will remain the old yarn color and the working loop the newyarn color.
It will allow start crocheting the next stitch with the new yarn color. If you attach the new yarn color when crocheting the next stitch, then the base ofthe stitch would be in the old yarn color.

Paws (make 4)
Leave a 3.9 inches yarn tail.

Fasten off and break yarn.

In the next round, crochet the ears into the head
The first ear is placed in the middle of the fourth increase and the second ear isafter the sixth increase. If you read the pattern easily then you would crochet the second round quickly.
